Since its inception almost 60 years ago, The American Scientific Glassblowers Society's goal is to encourage the sharing and dissemination of technical information related to scientific glassblowing. Glass is truly the eye of science and has been used by scientists over the ages to develop countless advances in medicine, chemistry, physics, and astronomy that shape the way we live.
This "Members Only Section" site provides the text, photo, and drawings as presented in FUSION (the Journal of the ASGS) and the PROCEEDINGS (technical papers presented at the annual ASGS Symposia). This is likely the most comprehensive collection of Scientific Glassblowing information and techniques on the Internet.
The ASGS Reference Archive will include information from the following sources:
-
2000+ FUSION and PROCEEDINGS Articles
-
5000+ References and Abstracts Citations
-
80+ hours of Videos From Symposium Workshop Demonstrations
-
Hundreds of Glass Shop Hints from FUSION
-
Dozens of Symposium Posters
Eventually the complete ASGS information collection will be accessible from any computer in the world....all in a searchable database.
Please read the Important Reference Archive Information Article.
